* Hidden - Acrylic Painting

Instructor: Karen Marcos

Students will learn exciting methods to begin or continue painting using water based acrylic paints.  We will also learn to sketch images from life, photos and/or the imagination directly onto the prepared surfaces such as canvas or masonite (wood).  We will use standard sizes so framing or hanging for display will be a snap.

(Don’t go out and buy a lot of extra colors unless you have extra $$

·         Canvas board, canvas stretched, or masonite (like particle board), 18 x 24 is a great size or 16 x 20 is fine too. Lowes and Home     depot will cut it for you.  If you need to prime your wood or your canvas, don’t go out and buy expensive gesso…white interior latex acrylic house paint is so much cheaper and I have used this for years!
