This class is for the student with basic watercolor painting experience and the intermediate student who wishes to continue learning new watercolor techniques with emphasis on creativity and fun.

Basic Supply List for Sue Allen's Classes
Brushes
3 brushes -
a fine detail brush, red sable, #2 or #4
a medium round, #6
a 3/4“ flat, look for the name Aquarelle printed on the side. This brush will also have a chiseled handle.
Paint
I use Grumbacher Academy Watercolors in tubes because they are less expensive but you may bring any brand you like. Colors you will need:
Cadmium Yellow Prussian Blue
Yellow Ochre Burnt Umber
Thalo Crimson Burnt Sienna
Paynes Gray
Additional colors we use sometimes:
Chinese White Alizarin Crimson
Ultramarine blue Thalo Blue
Paper
100% rag Watercolor Paper, 140lb. or more, cold press. You must get this paper in a sheet. One sheet will last for a month's classes as we will cut it into fourths. Please come to class with your paper cut into (4) 11: x 15: sheets. Paper sold in a tablet is not used in class.
Also bring:
a container for water a pencil with a good point
a soft eraser paper towels
a white palette masking fluid/liquid frisket
a small natural sponge a spray bottle for water
a toothbrush
