Plant City artist Creates Book Cover for “Sword of the Wild Rose”

Debra Bryant, an accomplished Plant City artist, has completed her painting, “The Price of Freedom,” to be used as
the cover art for award winning author, Ruth Carmichael Ellinger’s latest historical novel which released this month to book
stores and online sales venues. Sword of the Wild Rose, is the 3rd book in Ambassador International’s best-selling
inspirational ‘Wildrose’ series. “Sword of the Wild Rose” will be distributed to international markets, as well as in the United States.

Open to all levels, beginning to advanced students will learn the basic techniques of portrait painting in the Renaissance method of the Old Masters.  This ongoing class will cover graphing, drawing, and creating a value monochrome under painting, to full color application.  Individual students' style, tastes, and rate of progress will be approached with flexibility.  Suggested first subject for beginning portrait students will be an Old Masters painting reproduction; wildlife subjects will be provided for the first lesson.
